1. Orders and Delivery

1.1. How do I buy on the Skipper Bar Website?
  • Create a personal profile/account on the Skipper Bar Website by clicking on the “My Account” tab.
  • Select a category of products that appeals to you on the Skipper Bar Online Store.
  • Within the category you’ll find a range of products on offer.
  • Once you choose a product, you’ll be taken to the product page for a more detailed description along with pictures to help you make your choice.
  • Select the size and colour (if applicable) and then click on the “add to your cart” tab.
  • You will be taken to the “your cart” page, which will provide you with a summary of the product(s) you wish to order.
  • At checkout, you will be given the opportunity to review and confirm your order.
  • At checkout, you will also have to select the standard delivery option for your order.
  • Once you have selected the delivery option, you will be required to provide an address for delivery or a Click & Collect location.
  • Thereafter you will be directed to the payment page to make payment in full.
  • Once payment has cleared in our account, your order will be dispatched for delivery.
1.2. How Does Skipper Bar Deliver Products?

Skipper Bar uses South Africa’s top couriers to ensure you get the best service. We use Logistical Solutionist (Pty) Ltd for Door-to-Door delivery and Click and Collect.

We offer the following delivery options:

  • Door-to-Door Delivery
  • Click and Collect
1.4. How will I receive my order?

Please note that all our products will arrive encased in a transparent recycled poly bag in addition to our standard packaging to protect them from damage in transit. Your order will be accompanied by an original delivery note which will need to be signed by you or an authorised representative.

1.5. Who can sign for my order?

If you are unable to accept delivery or collect your order, you can elect an authorised representative to do so on your behalf.

1.6. Can someone else collect my parcel?

Yes. If you are unable to collect your order, someone else can collect on your behalf. They will need to bring your ID (or a copy) and the unique collection code.

1.7. Where do you deliver to?

Our couriers deliver nationally within South Africa, Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm. Please note that we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes.

1.8. Can I change or cancel my order?

We're quick at picking and packing your order, so we're not able to change or cancel it once your purchase has been confirmed. If you change your mind, you can return your order if you qualify in terms of our Online Shopping Terms.

1.9. Can I change my delivery address?

Once your order has been confirmed and you would like to make a change, please contact our customer service team at onlinecs@studio-88.co.za for assistance.

1.10. Do you offer Free Deliveries?

We offer FREE delivery on all orders of R800.00 or more.

1.11. Can I exchange items purchased online at a Skipper Bar store?

Yes, provided the goods are in the original condition as at the time of delivery. All swing tags and boxes must accompany the item(s) being returned. Please take your proof of purchase (invoice) with you to the store. Please note that some products are online exclusives and may not be available in stores, in which case it is best to log an exchange with the online store.

2. General

2.1. Do you offer store credit?

Unfortunately not. Skipper Bar does, however, offer a lay-bye option at our stores (excluding the Online Store). The lay-bye period is for three months with a minimum 10% deposit. Full payment must be received within this period. We accept cash, debit cards, and most credit cards.

2.2. What if my product has a quality defect?

You may return a defective item within six months of its purchase, subject to the terms and conditions in our Online Shopping Terms.

2.3. What do I do when a product I want is out of stock?

We keep up with the latest trends and maintain stock levels accordingly. Items are available while stocks last. Feel free to contact our Customer Loyalty team, who will try to source the item for you from elsewhere.

2.4. Are all products offered by Skipper Bar authentic?

Yes. Skipper Bar guarantees 100% authenticity. We do not sell, accept, or otherwise deal with fakes or factory variants. Buy with confidence, as all products are thoroughly inspected for condition and authenticity.

2.5. Varsity Vibe Discount Code

To access your 10% Varsity Vibe discount, open your VV App, search for the Skipper Bar deal, view and copy the code, and apply it in the “Apply Discount“ box at checkout.

Varsity Vibe T's & C’s: The 10% discount is only available to VV Members. Exclusions apply:

  • The discount only applies to apparel and accessories for Converse.
  • No discount is available on Converse footwear.
  • No discount is available on Sale items.
  • The Maximum basket size is R3000.00 per discount code.
  • Only one discount code is redeemable per member per day.

3. Payments

3.1. What Payment Methods Are Available?
  • SiD (Instant EFT): Secure online payments supported by major South African banks.
  • Credit Card: VISA and MASTERCARD (must be 3D secured).
  • Paygate: Offers various methods including Instant EFT and Card payments.
  • OZOW (Instant EFT): Fast and secure direct electronic funds transfer.
  • Mobicred: Revolving credit facility.
  • 1Voucher: Prepaid cash voucher.
3.2. Can prices change without notice?

Yes, this may occur due to import currency fluctuations on replenishment stock. Prices are therefore subject to change without prior notice.

4. Lay-Buy

4.1. Do you offer lay-buy?
  • We currently do not offer a lay-buy option for online purchases.
  • We do offer a lay-buy facility at our stores, secured with a 10% deposit.
  • The total Lay-buy period is 3 (three) months.
  • PLEASE RETAIN YOUR TILL SLIP.
4.2. What are the lay-buy termination conditions?
  • Lay-buys will be cancelled if you fail to comply with the Terms.
  • Lay-buys terminated by yourself will be refunded in full for the amount paid to date.
  • PLEASE RETAIN YOUR TILL SLIP.
