The following is based on a true story and remains one of the greatest stories ever worn.The Levi’s® denim story began on May 20th, 1873, upon Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis being granted the patent number 139,121 to start the process of riveting work pants to make them more durable. Today, these work pants are known as the 501® Original, their iconic five-pocketed, button-fly, straight-fit jeans.
For The big 1-5-0, the 501® jeans were designed with finishes inspired by some of the greatest patchwork, destructions, and DIY repair jobs over the years. With some of their most iconic archival washes from as far back as 1890 reimagined for the present day. The limited 501® jeans represent 150 years of the greatest stories ever worn and radical self-expression of living the 501® Levi’s® jeans life!
Now, 29 years after being introduced to the South African market, and 150 years after the first pair of durable, riveted denim 501® jeans, Skipper Bar is celebrating with the 501® original Levi’s® range!
