This is your chance to shout out the one person who always comes through for you - your ultimate Plug. Whether it’s the friend who hooks you up with the freshest fits, the cousin who always knows the latest drops, or the homie who’s got your back no matter what… now’s the time to give them their flowers.

HOW TO ENTER:

1. Head to our Skipper Bar social media pages.
2. Find the Plug Competition post pinned at the top.
3. In the comments, tell us who your Plug is and why they deserve the crown.
4. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #SkipperBarWhoIsYourPlug.

That’s it. Simple. Loud. Legendary.

THE PRIZE:

• One lucky entrant wins R1000 Skipper Bar voucher.
• Their nominated Plug also wins R1000 Skipper Bar voucher.
• Winners announced on 08 December 2025.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. The Competition is organized and promoted by The Skipper Bar Group of Companies (“the Promoter”).
2. All decisions relating to the Competition, including but not limited to eligibility, prize allocation, and winner selection, rest solely with the Promoter.
3. The Competition will commence on 10 November 2023 and will close at 23:59 on 18 November 2023.
4. Only entries received within this period will be considered valid. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances.
5. The Competition is open to all natural persons who:
   • Are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
   • Are permanent residents or citizens of the Republic of South Africa.
6. Employees, directors, agents, or consultants of the Promoter, its subsidiaries, advertising agencies, or immediate family members of the aforementioned parties are not eligible to participate.
7. To enter, participants must:
   • Visit the official Skipper Bar Facebook page.
   • Locate the Ultimate Plug Competition post pinned at the top of the page.
   • Comment on the post by naming their “Ultimate Plug” (a person they wish to nominate) and explaining briefly why that person deserves recognition.
   • Include the official hashtag #SkipperBarUltimatePlug in their comment.
8. Incomplete entries, entries without the hashtag, or entries deemed offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate will be disqualified at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
9. The prize consists of:
   • R1000 Skipper Bar voucher for the entrant (the person submitting the entry).
   • R1000 Skipper Bar voucher for the nominated Plug (the person named in the entry).
10. The prize is non-transferable, may not be exchanged for cash or alternative goods/services, and may only be redeemed by the confirmed winners.
11. Should the nominated Plug be found ineligible (e.g., under 18, not a South African resident), the entrant will still receive their portion of the prize, but the Plug’s portion will be forfeited.
12. Winners will be selected by means of a random draw conducted by the Promoter after the closing date.
13. Winners will be notified via direct message (DM) on Social Media platforms. If a winner cannot be contacted within 72 hours, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
14. The names of confirmed winners may be published on Skipper Bar’s official social media platforms.
15. Winners must collect their prize from a pre-agreed Skipper Bar store within South Africa.
16. Winners will be required to present a valid South African ID, driver’s license, or passport for verification.
17. Prizes must be collected in a single redemption event. Partial collections or transfers to third parties will not be permitted.
18. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or submits an entry not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
19. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not received due to technical, network, or platform-related issues.
20. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with an item of equal or greater value should circumstances beyond its control make it necessary.
21. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Competition at any time without prior notice, provided that such changes will not prejudice participants who have already entered.
22. By entering, participants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, and entry content for marketing, promotional, and publicity purposes, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
23. Personal information provided will be processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and will not be shared with third parties unrelated to the Competition.
24. The Promoter, its affiliates, and agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from participation in the Competition or acceptance of the prize, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
25. Participants enter the Competition at their own risk.
26. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
